Established in 1976, Suez Canal University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the medium city of Ismailia (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants). This institution also has branch campuses in the following locations: Suez, Port Said, Arish. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education of Egypt, Suez Canal University (SCU) is a large coeducational Egyptian higher education institution. Suez Canal University (SCU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Suez Canal University (SCU) also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services. جامعة قناة السويس

جامعة قناة السويس، جامعة مصرية حكومية، أنشئت بموجب بالقرار الجمهوري رقم 93 لسنة 1976 م، واستقبلت أول دفعة من طلابها في العام التالي 1976 م. وكانت فلسفة إنشاء هذه الجامعة متميزة عن باقي جامعات جمهورية مصر العربية، بأنها جامعة متوجهة للمجتمع، وهى تخدم منطقة غالية من أرض مصر كانت مسرحا للنضال والكفاح على مدى سنوات عديدة
