Prof. Dr. Yasser Magdy Hatata is the President of Fayoum University in Egypt.
Prof. Yasser Hatata received his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1989 from Cairo University, and he obtained a Master’s degree in General Surgery in 1994 from Cairo University and a Doctorate in General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Edinburgh, Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, with a PhD degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in 2003, He has held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Fayoum University since 2019, a professor of surgery at the same university since 2015, and a consultant in liver and bile duct surgery and a member of the liver transplantation team at “Dar Al Fouad Hospitals”.
Prof. Dr. Yasser Hatata was included in scientific promotions at the Faculty of Medicine at Fayoum University; He started his career as a teaching assistant in 1994, then as an assistant teacher between 2000 and 2003, then as a teacher between 2003 and 2010, then as an assistant professor between 2010 and 2015, then was promoted as a professor in 2015. His research interests include endoscopic surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, and transplant surgery. liver;
